List surname followed by initials with periods. Separate authors with semicolons. List all authors up to 10; for 11+, list the first followed by "et al."
Sentence Case
Article titles use sentence case. Journal names are abbreviated per CASSI (Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index) and italicized.

ACS offers superscript numbers, italic numbers in parentheses, or author-date. Follow your journal's or instructor's required system.
DOI Required
Include the DOI for all electronic journal articles. Format: "doi:10.xxxx/xxxxx" at the end of the citation.
