Initials + Surname
List first initials followed by surname. Use "Ed." for edited books. For multiple editors, use "Eds."
Italicize Title
Book titles are italicized in sentence case. Edition information is placed after the title, e.g., "3rd ed."
Bracket Number
Each reference begins with a number in square brackets, numbered sequentially based on order of first citation in the text.
Location + Publisher
Include publisher location (city, state/country), publisher name, and year: "City, State: Publisher, Year."
